I believe that unfinished works have artistic merit and do not deserve to be "scrapped" and never seen again.

I believe that the inclusion of such works in a gallery does not diminish it's artistic integrity.

I believe that only the artist has the right to determine whether his or her work is art.

I believe every artist should stand up for their own creations and not back down simply to please a corporation.

I believe that so long as a piece does not violate the guidelines of the site it's hosted on, it should be allowed to remain.

I believe that pornography is still pornography even if shot in black and white to appear "artsy" and thinly veiled as tasteful. If said site has a rule against such displays, they should not be allowed no matter how much the staff favors that particular artist nor chosen as a featured piece and flashed upon the screen numerous times on a site which claims to be "family friendly".

I believe every artist deserves respect and should be treated as a human being, not a machine that cranks out pieces nor a child to be scolded for not meeting one single person's opinion of what is art.

I believe in constructive critique, not bashing, when commenting to an artist directly.

I believe art has many forms and, though I may not like them all, it's not my place to decide what deserves to be displayed or not.. nor should it ever come down to just one person's opinion of what should be called art on a site claiming to be a hub of the artistic world.

I believe Deviant Art is no longer a safe haven for artists but rather a corporate machine.

I believe I have found a new home..
